All books published by authors affiliated with Sleeping Bearcat Studios will be listed here for easy reference; for now, there’s just the one: One of God’s Noblemen.
I’ve always had a half-dozen writing projects boiling and bubbling at any given time, and they only rarely amount to something I’m ready to publish and put out into the world. For example, I currently have two fantasy novels, a sci-fi novel, two philosophical thought exercises, one detective noir story, and a book of haiku and other poetry in varying phrases of production. Some of these projects ultimately found new homes as one of our free text games; others are still in active development undergoing further refinement.
One of God’s Noblemen is different; not only is it a biography (not my usual genre!), but it’s also a collaborative story that rebuilds the remarkable life of a wonderful man. There are no dragons to slay, no planets to explore, and no villains to thwart, but his trials and tribulations are real, relatable, and led him to possess the most valuable treasure of them all.
One of God’s Noblemen
Written with Charles Calligaris’s friends and family in mind, the included stories chronicle Charles’s childhood as the son of Italian immigrants, his adventures during World War II, and his subsequent career in hospital administration, where he played a key role in modernizing Syracuse’s aging hospital infrastructure.
